How a How Water Dispenser Works

When you activate the handle on your InSinkErator® instant hot water dispenser, cool tap water flows into the tank and displaces the near-boiling water, which flows out of the spout. Release the handle, and the valve closes automatically so hot water stops flowing. The cool water is then heated to approximately 200°F, and flows into the expansion chamber where it's ready for later use.

Every InSinkErator® instant hot water dispenser costs just pennies a day to operate.
