Step 1
Run a medium stream of cold water.

Turn on the food waste disposer using the air switch or wall switch.
Step 3
Gradually feed the food scraps into your food waste disposer and push it down the baffle.
Step 4
After feeding in food scraps, leave the cold water running for another 10 seconds.
Step 5
Turn off the tap and food waste disposer
