How do our garburators work?
InSinkErator® garbage disposers are designed to grind tough food waste, helping reduce particles left behind that can cause sink odour. Our Heavy Duty Dura‑Drive® induction motors feature jam‑busting torque for grinding power and durability. Additionally, our innovative design keeps food scraps in the 3D Grind Zone and directs water to rinse the chamber walls clean, for a fresh sink.

Using a disposer is easy!
Never put fats, oils, or grease into a disposer.
Run a steady stream of cold water into the sink before turning on the garbage disposal.
Turn on the disposer before placing any food waste into it.
Gradually feed food waste into the disposer's bladeless grind system.
Avoid putting large amounts of food waste all at once as this may slow the grinding process.
Once the food waste has been broken down, turn the unit off and let water run for a few seconds to flush the drain pipe.
